The Academy has a dense lush green jungle of about 1.87 hectares and is full of flora and fauna. Discovery of old squad post and sentry post in the jungle area indicates that this area was used for outdoor trainee and field crafts. A very old well built of Lakhauri bricks exists. Proper preservation of the jungle through various botanical treatments and plantation was introduced in 2007. Besides, for the protection of the area a boundary wall was constructed and inaugurated by the then Director of the academy Sri C.B. Satpathy on 31-May, 2007. The nameplates carrying botanical names of the trees have been affixed with the trees.
