The police officers' mess of the academy provides for the stay, dining and recreation of Police Officers. The old Police Officers Mess constructed in 1902, having 17 large rooms and which was used to accommodate up to fifty trainee officers has since been converted into Police Heritage Bhawan housing Police Museum. A new police Officers' mess building under Police modernization scheme was made operative in 2006. Facilities including Billiards, Tennis, Table Tennis and Badminton are available for recreation of trainees in the Mess.
The Officers' Mess has a glorious past and has the honour of receiving several VIPs including the Prime Minister of India, State Governors, Chief Ministers and other top Police Officials. Several trophies registered under the Wild life Protection Act are kept here.
